Law clerk to Judge J. Frederick Motz, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, 1988-89. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1988. Member, American Bar Association; Maryland State Bar Association. Attorney, Venable, LLP, 1989-2006 (chair, health care practice; hiring committee, 1992-96). Founding member, Board of Trustees, Dunbar Project, 1990-94. Board of Directors, Public Justice Center, 1991-2006 (president, 1994-97); Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies, 1991- (past chair, membership committee).
